I´m happy to present some examples of Jane Linders´ work. She is a photographer from St. Louis, Missouri, USA and specializes in a technique called polaroid transfers, which are a one of a kind image and cannot be reproduced as the negative is destroyed in the process. Another feature of her work is the use of infrared sensitive film. When using infrared film, anything with chlorophyll (such as plants) turns bright white, water appears dark and with a red filter, clouds can become quite dramatic using this unusual film.
Most of the transfers were taken at a historical St. Louis cemetary, the infrareds at the Missouri Botanical Gardens in St. Louis. The bridge at the bottom is the Chain of Rocks Bridge spanning the Mississippi River. The ominous Elvis museum can be found in Wright City, Missouri.

Beim Gebrauch von Infrarot-Film erscheint alles, was Chlorophyll enthält (wie z.B. Pflanzen), strahlend weiß, während Wasser dunkel abgebildet wird. Zusammen mit einem roten Filter können Wolken mit diesem ungewöhnlichen Film recht dramatisch zur Darstellung gebracht werden.
Die meisten der Polaroid Transfers wurden auf einem alten Friedhof in St. Louis aufgenommen, die Infrarot-Bilder in den Missouri Botanical Gardens in St. Louis. Die Brücke ist die Chain of Rocks Bridge, die den Mississippi River überquert. Das ominöse Elvis Museum steht in Wright City, Missouri.
